CILAC operates as an “advice only” Clinic and does not include representation of the client in any court or tribunal hearing. The areas of law in which advice will be provided include the following:

Criminal Law (Criminal Procedure and general Criminal Law advice)

Civil Law including landlord-tenant, debt, and contract disputes (less than $20,000 CI)

Human Rights Issues
Witness and Jury Trial Procedure

Assistance with referrals to appropriate agencies/completion of applications for legal aid
